Demon Gate Concept - Aoiby ~The-Concept-Artist

So I've had an idea for an anime//manga for a while. Normally I don't pursue such Idea, but I like this one for some reason.

In Demon Gate, the protagonists are girls who have various disabilities who form a gang, and later have the ability to turn into oni that deal with demons that start showing up in town. I'm still trying to pick the details.

Aoi is the member who is closest to Akane. She is afflicted with FOP (fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva). This means when her connective tissue repairs itself, it ossifies (turns to bone). Damage to her left hand has caused the bones to fuse in a permanent fist, which is her weapon in the gang.

If I am to make some manga pages for Demon Gate, they will be told through Aoi, as she is the most perceptive and introspective of the characters. She and Akane are the only gang members whose life expectancy is lowered by their condition. Aoi is looking at 40 years of life total, while for Akane it would be miraculous for her to survive past 25 years of age.
